The Position
Under the authority of the President of the NELIS board of Trustees in Nigeria and the Global Council in Japan, the Program Manager is responsible for
implementing the activities of NELIS in Nigeria and creating a model that will be replicated across Africa. The Manager will manage and increase the resources of the organization. The Manager is responsible for the human, administrative, and accounting management of the organization. The Position is based in Akure, Ondo State with many trips across the country and Africa.
Training & experience required
The candidate may have at least a BSc. in any Social Sciences (Applicants from other fields may apply if they have required skills). He/She must justify a proven experience of at least 3 years in a management position of an organization/project involved in Social Work.
Skills Required
- Be motivated to work and strongly committed in the field of Social work/social entrepreneurship/sustainability ( in environment, agriculture, business, urban planning, politics, education, health, or other sectors of society);
- Be able to stimulate the interest of the chapter coordinators in Nigeria and involve them in carrying out the mission and NELIS activities;
- Develop and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders;
- Create and implement (with the support of the President, Chapter Coordinators and Global Council) a 3-year road map for NELIS Nigeria;
- Have good control of administrative and accounting tools;
- Have a good mastery of basic computer tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, outlook) and social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). );
- Demonstrate an excellent capacity in written and oral communication in English;
- Have a great ability to adapt and be able to work in a multicultural environment;
- Be able to work independently;
- Be immediately available.
Duty Station
Akure, Ondo State with many trips across Nigeria.

Recruitment will be carried out following a pre-selection of applicants followed by an interview with NELIS Nigeria and Global council.
