On October 29th, 2016 all the Rotary clubs in Imo State, including my beloved Rotary club of Owerri Metropolitan participated actively in the end polio rally.

The event started at 11:45am from Catholic Pastoral centre, Wetheral road, Owerri and ended successfully at 2:20pm at Freedom

Square Warehouse, Owerri. Over 100 Rotarians, 350 Rotaractors and 200 interactors participated in the end polio match.

To mention but a few, Rotarian Chidi Igbokwe, Assistant Governor district 9140, 2016/2017 Rotary year, Rotarian Jude Okoh, President Rotary club of Owerri Metropolitan, Rotarian Kelechi Anyanwu, PHF, Rotarian Ethelbert Umeh, and a host of others.

We canvassed the streets of Owerri chanting in joyful hope, the Rotary songs. Also, we were sensitizing people, sharing flyers to people to join the Rotary family in our humanitarian works not just in Nigeria, but around the world.

We are very close to ending polio in Nigeria.
Now is the time to speak out, donate, and be part of this unique history.
You can help the Rotary story.

Rotary International still needs funding to continue surveillance efforts and immunizations; we are gradually getting to the finish line. Polio is on the run!

Rotarians, Rotaractors and interactors are creating social change in communities. Join Rotary today to save lives!
