Happy 30th Birthday to the man we gladly call ‘Prof’

Happy 30th Birthday to the man we gladly call ‘Prof’

The history of the world revolves around the respected figures of great men. No wonder some erudite philosophers ably represented by Hegel say that it is the synthesis of thesis and antithesis.
Today is the 30th birthday of a great fellow, friend, young African leader, speaker, consummate Christian, professor without a university because he is a schoolman himself, personal assistant to Theophilus Okere, on whose Copernican

How to Draft An Appreciation Message: My First experience meeting Strive Masiyiwa

Back in college (2008), I started following my self-proclaimed twin, The Founder of Econet Wireless and Econet Media, Dr Strive Masiyiwa and his teachings through audio clips and then later on Facebook. I used to copy the insights to my word document and read the compilations again and again, then later we could have group discussions with my close friends on each article. A decade later, I was part of the co-engineering team helping Barack & Michelle Obama shape the Obama Foundation in Chicago, and Barack introduced me to this great son of Africa. I had an opportunity to meet him and thank him in person for all the insights and motivation he gave me to believe that an African can rise globally and even help more rise with him. At the time Strive was leaving for London, so I escorted him on his way to the airport and today's lesson is part of our conversation.
He has been teaching me a lot but what he told me that day was quite interesting, "…Hey Charles, did you know that I love to I read and reply to those comments by myself on Facebook? I have been seeing your 'thank you' messages and you encouraged me with how you have used the same knowledge I share with many." I didn't even know what to say, this is the man who inspired me to create my page and freely share insights to help others have hope and rise to their potentials.
TODAY'S EXERCISE: SEND APPRECIATION MESSAGES AND GIVE FEEDBACK.
Today I want you to see the “great power” behind gratitude. You are to write and send at least 3 appreciation messages and share with me how it goes.
Most of us don't take gratitude seriously, we just know how to say "Thank you" in a rush, but today I would love to share with you the importance of crafting and designing your APPRECIATION message so that it stands out and the person you are saying/ sending it to should feel the impact made. THINK ABOUT your parents / siblings/ friends / teachers / mentors/ investors / pastors / leaders / guardians etc who have helped you in one-way or the other. Trust me, Gratitude is the door that opens the way to more opportunities.
HERE IS THE SAMPLE MESSAGE.
Hello _________.
This is _______ (Full name) from _________. (Introduce yourself if you don’t regularly interact on a personal level).
Thank you for taking the time to share all of that great information with me. Your support/ investment, encouragement, and advice have been extremely helpful to my _________ (Be Specific). I am now confident that I have developed ________ (mention the primary development you have made & share a link if you have one) and that has led me to apply to ________ (mention the secondary developments with link if necessary whether it on project bids/ be stakeholders/ partners/sponsors/schools/ job applications etc) that are the best fit for my personal/ professional / business goals I am pursuing. Once the feedback arrives, I will inform you to share the outcome as I intend to________ (mention the tertiary development you intend, when the first two developments work according to plan).
When it comes to __________, (mention their field of expertise) you are really good at what you do, especially on ________ (mention the specific assistance) that really helped me. May you help others as you helped me! God bless you."
CONCLUSION
As we express gratitude; we must never forget appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. One thing I learned from Henri Amiel is that "Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.” THANK YOU might be the best prayer anyone could say. So as the beginning of my gratitude, I say Thank you all for encouraging me to write more. God bless you and ALL THE BEST #LetsDOthis #TeamMaestros

Introduction
I am pleased to be here discussing this topic. Due to want of time, I wouldn’t like to bore you with a comprehensive dictionary or encyclopaedia analysis of who a youth is. The three key terms in this presentation are ‘youths, architects and destinies’.
However, as a point of departure, many scholars adopted a working definition that a youth is simply the period between childhood and adulthood; the period of being young.
An architect simply means, a person who
