Encomiums as Mrs Munachiso Brian Anyasodor celebrates Birthday on the streets of Owerri

Encomiums as Mrs Munachiso Brian Anyasodor celebrates Birthday on the streets of Owerri

Few days ago, the streets of Owerri was agog with new looks and unusual happenings, as a young passionate woman in company of few of her friends were seen sharing birthday gifts; food items to the less privileged, poorest of the poor and beggars on the streets of Owerri.

The story trended on social media sphere like no other. Many thought she was a politician, others thought she was an attention-seeker, while few praised her for at least finding time to be with those on the street, making them feel loved.  I now have the full gist.
Thus, I ventured into an investigative reporting on the issue. I am glad to inform you that i was able to get in touch with this pretty, beauty with brain, a good woman with a large heart. We discussed why she did that and other sundry issues.

Here are the details of the encounter.

Tell us a little about yourself, academic background and work experiences.
My name is Munachiso Brian Anyasodo. I am happily married to my amazing man. I studied law at Anambra State University, Igbariam. My second degree was in Corporate Communications & Media Studies from the same university.

I have had an amazing working experiences as an on-air personality at HotFM Owerri, CoolFM Lagos, PR Career at Black House Media Lagos, PR aide to Imo State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, amongst others.

Currently, CEO ‘Muna Organics’ dealing on organic skincare products like raw Africa shea butter, coco butter, African black soap, coconut oil, raw honey, homemade face scrub & body scrub and lots more.
Quite an amazing profile.
Thank you. To God be the glory.

Why did you decide to celebrate your birthday on the street of Owerri?
I have been celebrating my birthday with the poor since 2010 on a low key. But this year was very significant, it was my 30th birthday so I decided to go public not necessarily to attract any fame, publicity or recognition, but purely to show love to those on the streets. I want them to feel the impact that someone cares for them.
I see this as the best way of showering them with love. There is absolutely no difference between me and them, it’s just that am more opportune than them. In 2010, I did it at Awka, 2011 and 2012 were at Ngorkpala, 2013 was at Imo State Home of Destitute Ngorkpala.
2014 was at Imo State General Hospitals Umuguma, where I went and cleared the bills of some patients, 2015 was at Girls’ Grammar School Awoyaya, Lagos- there, and I shared toiletries to them. 2016 was at Obalende in Lagos, and this year was in Owerri.
Who inspired you to this action?

No one inspired me to do this. You don’t have to be a billionaire to give. For the fact that I have someone praying for me makes me happy. It is a thought in me to help. Times are hard, and there are so many beggars on the street. I decided to share the little I have with them. It is my way of giving back to the society.
What did your friends and loved ones say about this?

I have a highly supportive husband. And good number of my friends volunteered to help me share the food items to those on the streets. Some of those who know how I celebrate my birthday within the last years kept asking me when and where will I celebrate it this year.
Finally, I thank God, it has come and gone. That I was able to touch some lives positively makes me fulfilled. A smile, they say means friendship to everyone.

Will you continue to do this annually?
As long as I live, I will continue to do something significant for the glory of God and good of humanity. It must not necessarily be for those on the street, but it can be for those I am better than. I am committed to leaving the world better than I met it.
Any advice for your fans out there?
Please develop the attitude of giving. You don’t have to be a billionaire to give. Don’t give to attract fame, praise, admiration, credit or validation. Give because you need to spread love.

One word for this golden heart!
